Things are hotting up for the seocontest2008 - the google SERPS keep on changing everyday - we all are targeting the word seocontest2008.

As of now there are over 419,000 entries for the contest with the Bulgarians onto the top spot - with over 5,500 backlinks pointing to their domain! Whew!

Whoever wins the first prize of 1,000 dollars will be the Best SEO - or so the thinking goes! Or maybe he has the deepest pockets to buy backlinks!

Finally this blog is on the 7th page and holding onto the position - all by organic link building and no paid backlinks.
That would be a waste of time and effort - since my intention is to learn seo at warp speed using the seocontest2008.

SEO's deteriorating health caused by Seocontest2008!

Seocontest2008 is causing health deterioration in SEO's taking part in the seocontest2008 ! The seo's from all over the world are constantly on their computers putting in long hours in front of their monitor neglecting their health and having a very sedentary lifestyle!

As you all know that prolonged periods of sitting without exercising gives rise to obesity, sluggish blood flow leading to Deep Vein Thrombosis, increased oral intake of food causing weight gain which in turn cause atheroma deposition in the heart arteries - which in the long term can cause heart attacks etc.

Also the top seo's are getting stressed trying to stay 2 steps ahead of their competitors and constantly trying "think out of the box". The SEO's who are smokers have increased their cigarette consumption further leading to accumulation of toxic effects of the cigarette smoke!

I hope all the seo's are trying to get regular exercise etc so as to counteract the ill effects of trying to compete in the seocontest2008

So another day has gone by and this blog is no where to be found on the SERP's ! my learning curve has been sharp - but no tangible evidence can be seen for all my efforts at seocontest2008 ! Let me soldier on & we will see what happens on 1 April, 2008.

Just now received an email with this topic - so decided to blog about it!
Therefore thought that i will get pro-active and try and make this a success!

To look on the positive side of this contest I am learning a lot ! At the moment i am concentrating only on link building for seocontest2008 and edoctor and bed and breakfast new delhi. So at the same time all my sites are getting some link building!

Hopefully something will come out of the insane amount of time i am putting in towards learning SEO & SEM. SEOcontest2008 Coverage

Hopefully, i will look in the mirror in the morning and smile and say, 'I am too Blessed to be Stressed and too Anointed, to be Disappointed!

Finally it is indexed by google - but it is no where in the first 17 pages of google .
so what now do i do about it or blog some more about it !

I think i will have to get some more lessons about seoContest2008 :-(

Google's result for today for seocontest2008 today has returned 8,970 results.

woes continue - as the blog is still not indexed !

Checked the results today for the term seocontest2008 there are 9,800 results on google dot com.

my voes continue - the blog is still not indexed as yet - though some back links have started to show.

so at the moment google doesnt even know this blog exists. :-(

Today is the 5th day for seocontest2008 - there are 475o results; yesterday there were 2,750 results - my site - seocontest2008 is not even indexed. so there is lots of competition - and it is getting hotter with each passing day!

how this newbie is going to fare - only time will tell!
come April 1 and we will know about how i fared ! time to read on the seo tactics!

hopefully google will index my site sooner! :-(

From the 1th of February the UK Webmaster World Community has launched an international seo contest and the winner will receive $1000 and each 3 runners up will get $100.


What is the targetted keyphrase?
Well, the selected keyphrase is "seocontest2008".


How can I enter?
In order to help us identify you as a participant during the contest you need to do two things:

• Take the rules seriously
• Insert this html code into your competitive design page

Rules

• You may use a domain, folder, or sub domain as your optimised page with one criterion. The page must be brand new, no backlins no cached version

How will we determine the winner?
We won't, but the Google.com. On the 1st of April at 1pm (UK time) the result table will be updated last time requesting the google.com/search?q=targetted-keyphrase string and the 1st result will be the winner of the contest.

Notes:

• In order to provide the same chance for everybody, the result table will ignore the differences might be caused by the different geographic locations hence the above specified searching string will be requested every time when the result page will be updated
• Prices will be received via PayPal transfer.
